Forest Therapy

What is Forest Therapy?

Forest Therapy is a therapeutic practice that guides you to a state of relaxation and sensory awakening through doing a series of invitations. It is a gentle practice that typically takes place in an area of a forest or along a nature trail for a duration of 1.5 - 3 hours and approximately 500 meters long while walking a very slow pace with frequent pauses. There will be a forest tea at the end of the walk where you can reflect on the experience.

What to expect ?

I will offer a series of invitations for you to  connect with your natural surroundings. Each invitation is followed by the opportunity to deepen the invitation’s experience. In a busy world, we are often in a fight or flight mode, these sensory-based invitations are an opportunity to slow down, feel relaxed, gain personal insights and activate your body’s parasympathetic nervous system inducing rest, relaxation and stress release. Forest Therapy engages in activities that require minimal physical exertion. You do not need to be nature 'savvy' to experience the benefits. The intention is to quiet your mind, awaken your senses and deepen your connection with yourself and the more than human world. Some of the proven health benefits include; stress release, digital detox, lower blood pressure, improve immunities, creativity, mental clarity and lighten anxiety.
